Study visit from UkraineAt the beginning of April, 2016 Newality Group hosted a study visit from Ukrainian NGO Pedagogical Centre ACADEMIA. The visit was a part of a bigger project “No ID Children” which is dedicated to study of social integration and inclusion in diverse societies. Twenty two social activists, pedagogs, pupils and project leaders came to Gothenburg to meet organizations that work with similar topics. With the Newality Group team we proudly did our best to meet the needs of our Ukrainian partners, and prepared an intense and informative program of the visit. Our special thanks to all Gothenburg enthusiasts who found time and energy to contribute to this exchange:
|
Susanna Chamoun Hansson, TF. Skolledare, Eductus. During the engaging and informal lecture about adult education in Sweden we got to know about main challenges that face foreigners who start to learn Swedish language and culture.
Camilla Näslund and her colleagues from Integrationscentrum introduced us into such projects as Flycktnigsguide and programs of social orienting for newcomers. Our guests got also to know about history of the centre and main ethical keystones in work with cultural diversity.
Siyana Sokolova from Mitt Liv AB (svb) told our guests about the impressive mentorship programs that they run in order to develop foreigners’ competencies and introduce them to the Swedish job market.
Due to efforts of Gun Holmertz, a leader of Caritas Angered we also got to visit Hammarkulens fritidsgård Mixgården. This was one of the most favorite visit moments for the youngest members of Ukrainian group, because they found new friends there.
Beside the official visits our partners drawn themselves into spirit and culture of Gothenburg: Haga, Botanical Garden, Universeum, Southern archipelago, beautiful Oscar Fredriks kyrka and many other spots welcomed Ukrainian visitors.
Newality Group is happy to be a part of “No ID Children” project and is open for new cooperations and ideas!
